Marie Rosanna Philippe, Brooklyn—The community is coming together to support the family of Marie Rosanna Philippe, who passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 90. Marie was a beloved mother and grandmother, known for her warm heart, caring nature, and incredible strength. Her daughter, Caricia Belkhaouas, shared that Marie was her biggest advocate and a source of strength throughout her life.

Marie had been battling health issues and cancer for 15 years, but she remained a fighter, especially after the birth of her granddaughter, Hannah Rose. The bond between Marie and Hannah was strong, and it brought Marie great joy during her final years. Despite being on hospice care during her last year, Marie showed remarkable resilience, giving her family hope that they would have more time together. However, she peacefully took her last breath on July 31, leaving her family with a profound sense of loss.

To honor her mother’s memory and to cover the funeral expenses, Caricia, with the help of Diana Mehenni, has set up a fundraiser. The fundraiser, titled "Help Caricia Honor Her Mother’s Memory," aims to raise $6,000. As of now, $25 has been raised through the generous donation of Beatriz Munozcano.
