"It’s crazy how one phone call can change a person’s life and perspective on things forever. Just two months ago my mom found out she was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and this morning she lost that battle and is now in heaven. Our family and God stuck by her side through the fight and as relieved as I am she is no longer in pain and suffering it doesn’t hurt any less that we had so much life left to live together. Mom, there are no words that come close to the love I have for you and how grateful, proud and happy I am to have had you as my mom. You were kind, soft, loving, funny, warm, beautiful and strong. You were my best friend and it’s hard to comprehend that I’ll have to go through life without you here now, but I know you’ll be guiding and watching over my life forever. I’m glad you have that front row seat. I love you more than you know. This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you again one day."
