Lena was born on October 14, 1983, in Chicago, IL, and was the eldest child of Ruth Michelle Thomas. Throughout her life, Lena was known for her deep spirituality, often drawing from her eclectic Christian practices. She was an ordained Minister, an ordained Dudeist Minister, and a member of the Moon Shadow Coven. Her favorite verse was Psalm 61:2, and her spiritual journey was a central part of her life.
In 2017, Lena met Billy Jones, the love of her life. Their bond grew stronger over time, and they shared a deep, loving relationship, enjoying travel, concerts, and the simple joys of life together. Lena often referred to Billy as her best friend, soul mate, and twin flame.
As a mother, Lena was incredibly devoted. Her children, both biological and stepchildren, were the light of her life. She cherished every moment with them, and being a mother was one of her greatest joys. She loved to shower them with love, ensuring that everyone felt special and equal. Lena’s family remembers her as a loving, empathic woman with an immense heart.
A true artist, Lena was a talented photographer, published author, and tattoo artist. She was also a cancer survivor and worked as a nurse at the time of her passing. Lena had an Associates Degree in Legal Studies from Kaplan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Capella University.
Lena leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband Billy Jones, her children, her grandchildren, her mother Ruth Thomas, and many friends and extended family members.
