Legdimar Bethania Chirinos Bustillos—The community of Pueblo Nuevo de Coro is in deep mourning following the unexpected passing of Legdimar Bethania Chirinos Bustillos. At just 24 years old, Legdimar, who had moved to Peru in 2019 to pursue her studies in midwifery, was found unresponsive in her residence this Wednesday, leaving friends, family, and colleagues in shock and sorrow.

Legdimar was a beloved granddaughter of Mrs. Magdalena Sira Bustillos, who shared a final embrace with her during the past Christmas before Legdimar returned to Peru. Born and raised in Coro, Falcón state, Legdimar was known for her beauty, friendliness, and warm-hearted nature. She was the eldest of three siblings, with one brother residing in the United States and another living with their mother in Guarenas, Miranda state.

In Peru, Legdimar had earned the affection of her classmates and colleagues at the Santa Teresita Health Center, where she was completing her professional internships. Her sudden death has left the community of Jardín settlement, where she resided, in grief.

The circumstances surrounding Legdimar’s passing are currently under investigation by local authorities, leaving her family and friends searching for answers. Her father, Professor Larry Bustillos, has traveled from Coro to Peru to oversee the necessary procedures and to arrange for the repatriation of her body to Venezuela, where her loved ones wish to bid her a final farewell.

A fundraiser organized by Larry Chirinos on behalf of Neillymar Godoy has been set up to assist with the repatriation costs. The campaign has so far raised $562 out of a $3,000 goal, with donations coming from friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, including a $100 donation from Yelitza Marcano.

The outpouring of support on social media has been overwhelming. Maria De Los Angeles Mendez expressed her sorrow, saying, "Es lamentable como matan a los venezolanos en otros países descansa su alma en paz y fortaleza para su familia." Meanwhile, others like Angel López and Carolina Rodríguez shared their grief and concerns over the safety of Venezuelans abroad.
