Leah’s passing has left her husband, Curtis VanRootselaar, and their four young children—Anton (4), Nico (3), Sarah (1), and Ashley (6 weeks)—devastated. Leah was a beacon of kindness, known for her infectious laughter and generous spirit. Her sudden departure has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew her.
The outpouring of grief and support from friends and family has been overwhelming. Amy Wytrykush, a close friend, expressed her disbelief and sorrow on Facebook, sharing, "Yesterday I got a message that I never expected to receive. My beautiful friend was gone. I just did family photos for Leah & Curtis and their 4 sweet little ones a couple weeks ago. It doesn’t feel real. I am forever thankful for the friendship we grew over the years of photographing them. Leah was one of the most kind and loving people I have ever met, she made me feel like family from the moment we met, and I am so sad we didn’t get more time. Please keep her husband and children in your prayers. I’ll miss you, my friend."
