Laurie Haller, Seattle, WA — Laurie Haller, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 59. She passed peacefully at her home in Seattle, surrounded by her children, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and boundless generosity.
Laurie was known for her infectious enthusiasm and kind heart. She always answered with a resounding "Yes!" to any request, whether it was a spontaneous hike, hosting a guest, or diving into a family project. Her ability to make every moment special and full of laughter was cherished by everyone who knew her.
Even during her final days, Laurie continued to brighten the lives of her loved ones, sharing moments of joy and humor. She enjoyed one last "Siblings Thanksgiving," where she dipped everything into beer cheese with a fondue fork, creating lasting memories with her family.
After moving to Seattle earlier in the fall to be closer to her children and continue treatment, Laurie spent her final days surrounded by love. Her family fondly recalls late-night movie marathons and heartfelt conversations about her life. Laurie may not have had much materially, but she lived a life rich in kindness, generosity, and unforgettable experiences.
Laurie is survived by her children, Jessica Primavera, Crystal Primavera, and Adam Cassano; her grandson, Dante Primavera; her mother, Susan E. Wills; and her siblings, Mary Szidloski, Michaela Szidloski, Michael Szidloski, Thomas Szidloski, Stephan Szidloski, and Jeanie Szidloski. Her family is left with the comforting knowledge that she found peace in her final moments.
A celebration of Laurie’s life will take place in July 2025 when her ashes will be spread on Mt. Rainier, in accordance with her wishes. Her family invites friends and loved ones to join in this tribute, with some of her ashes to be shared with those who wish to spread them on their favorite trails.
A GoFundMe page has been created to support the family with memorial expenses and to fulfill Laurie’s final wishes. The funds will help cover costs associated with the tribute and spread Laurie’s spirit among those she loved.
On Facebook, many have shared their thoughts and tributes. Jess Prima wrote, “Laurie Haller, a true ‘yes’ gal, filled our lives with laughter and love until her last moments,” while others have shown their support through donations and heartfelt messages.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Laurie’s family and friends. May her spirit continue to inspire kindness and warmth in all who knew her.
