Kenneth Michael Demay, Middleburg, FL— Kenneth Michael Demay, known affectionately as "Rooster," passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 67 years old. Kenneth was a beloved figure in his community, known for his skills as a handyman and the owner of KMD Maintenance for many years.
Kenneth had a deep love for nature, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His passion for wildlife extended to raising flocks of quail throughout his life. He also enjoyed cooking on the grill, a pastime that brought joy to those around him. Kenneth’s warmth and generosity will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A GoFundMe campaign, organized by Amanda DeMay, has been set up to assist with the burial expenses, as life insurance was not available due to Kenneth’s medical history. As of now, $2,100 has been raised from donations by Robin DeMay and Denise Hitchen.
Family and friends will gather to pay their respects during a visitation on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Helm’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Helm’s Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs, FL.
