Keng Helen Aseh, Massachusetts— Keng Helen Aseh, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 20, 2024, after suffering a heart attack during her flight to the United States. She was confirmed dead at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
At 70 years old, Keng Helen was making her first trip to the U.S., excited to reunite with her grandchildren and meet her 10-month-old great-grandchild, Belvane. Unfortunately, her journey was tragically cut short.
A devoted Baptist Christian, Keng Helen was an active member of the Berean Baptist Church in Limbe, Cameroon, where she served as the chair of the Women’s group. She was deeply involved in the church’s construction and in fundraising efforts for various community-based projects. Beyond her church work, she had a rich life, having run a restaurant for over a decade at the Bota Custom’s Canteen in Limbe. After retiring from the restaurant, she spent her time supervising business projects, traveling, and caring for her grandchildren.
Keng Helen had always expressed her wish to be laid to rest near her family in Cameroon. Due to her sudden passing, her family is now seeking funds to cover the repatriation costs, including funeral home charges, flight expenses, and other administrative fees.
A fundraiser has been organized by her family to help cover these costs, and the community has shown its support with generous donations.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Keng Helen Aseh’s family during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace.
