Kelly Lee Turner, Montgomery, TX — Kelly Lee Turner, affectionately known to many as Kells Bells or Leroy, passed away on December 12, 2024, at Nae Nae’s house in Montgomery, Texas.
Born on July 13, 1964, in Houston, Kelly was the son of the late Bobby Turner and Charlotte Daniels. Growing up in Alief, Texas, he was a passionate young man who spent his childhood riding bikes and creating adventures with his brothers. Over the years, Kelly developed a love for working on vehicles, starting with bicycles and moving on to motorcycles and cars, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
Though Kelly explored various career paths, he found his true calling as a commercial roofer. Regardless of his work, he always had a cold beer in hand and rock music from the legendary KLOL radio station playing in the background. Known for his many talents, Kelly could fix just about anything, though he knew his limits and always called upon his trusted buddy, “Stretch,” when it came to electrical work.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby "Pops" Turner; his mother, Charlotte Daniels; and his older brother, Robert Wayne Turner. Kelly is survived by his stepmother, stepsiblings, and countless friends, including his "101 units," who will miss him deeply. His wit, charm, and love for life have left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
As the community reflects on his life, those who were close to Kelly take comfort knowing that he will forever live on in their memories, always making faces and living life to the fullest, just as he did.
Rest in peace, Kelly. You will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
