Kelli Allison, Lakewood, CO— Kelli Allison passed away on November 16th, 2024, at 2:55 PM, after battling Primary Pulmonary Hypertension for 30 years. She was 61 years old. Kelli, who had been diagnosed with this terminal illness when she was 9, defied the odds and lived well beyond her initial prognosis of just 2.5 years. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Kelli fought against numerous challenges, showing incredible courage and determination. Her passing, though peaceful, came with complications. She received care from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical ICU staff in her final days. Kelli’s family has chosen to support further medical research into her disease through a clinical autopsy, as she was the longest-living person with this condition who did not undergo a double lung transplant.
Her daughter, Katie Holland, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to support the costs of Kelli’s cremation and memorial services. The family, along with friends, colleagues, and the community, has received immense support during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelli’s family, friends, and all those who were touched by her strength and spirit.
