Karen Lynn Kasulke, Harrington, DE—The community mourns the loss of Karen Lynn Kasulke, who passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the age of 54 at Bayhealth-Sussex Campus. Karen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Karen spent much of her life in different places due to her father’s Air Force service. She lived in both Great Britain and Germany before settling in Delaware, where she graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1989. A diehard fan of the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Orioles, Karen also had a love for sci-fi, particularly "Dr. Who," and proudly called herself a graduate of the Starfleet Academy. Known for her creative pursuits, she enjoyed crafting, especially beading, and was also famous for her quirky habit of collecting ink pens.
Karen will be deeply missed by her father Bruce E. Jenkins, her stepmother Adele C. Morris-Jenkins, her husband William D. Kasulke, her children William T. Kramer II, K. Amanda Farrell, K. Paige Seibert, James S. Kasulke, and Jonathan D. Kasulke, along with their spouses. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Joey and Ashla, and her beloved dogs, Isabella and Hershey. Karen’s passing comes after the loss of her twin brother, Scott E. Jenkins.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 10 AM at Faith Community Church in Dover, DE. In her honor, attendees are asked to wear something pink.
A fundraiser organized by her son James S. Kasulke has been set up to support the family during this difficult time. So far, $225 has been raised out of the $7,500 goal to help cover funeral expenses and other costs.
