Orosi, CA—Juan Parra, a devoted father and cherished member of the Orosi community, has recently passed, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him. Juan faced a long and challenging battle, first diagnosed in July 2024 with a facial infection that later spread despite intensive treatments and multiple surgeries. Following a difficult journey through hospitals and procedures, he spent his final months at home, surrounded by family.
Juan’s health struggles began with facial paralysis and pain, which doctors initially identified as a severe sinus and cellulitis infection. However, his condition progressed when the infection developed into an aggressive fungal spread, requiring extensive brain surgery. Despite undergoing two surgeries totaling over 30 hours, the treatments proved ineffective, and Juan’s health declined further.
Juan leaves behind three children, aged 18, 16, and 13, for whom he was the sole provider. His passing has left his children without their father’s guidance and support. Martha Hernandez has organized a fundraiser to cover funeral expenses and support his children during this challenging time. As of today, the community has contributed $260 toward the $10,000 goal, with friends and family offering prayers and donations.
Juan Parra will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Juan Parra’s family and pray for strength and peace during this time of sorrow. May he rest in eternal peace.
