Joseph Curtis, Willard, MO—Joseph Curtis passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, leaving his family and friends in deep sorrow. Known for his love of the lake, Joe enjoyed spending time boating and camping, and cherished vacations by the beach. An avid sports enthusiast, he was especially fond of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals. Those who knew him will remember his outgoing and fun-loving personality.
Joe’s family was his pride and joy, and his happiest moments in recent years were spent with his grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of faith that touched many lives. His 4th of July celebrations, marked by extravagant fireworks displays, earned him the nickname “pyromaniac” among his loved ones.
In this time of grief, a fundraiser organized by Kristi Sherman aims to support his daughter, Carrie, who has now faced the loss of both parents to cancer before the age of 42. Carrie, the primary financial provider for her family, is in a challenging situation, caring for a special needs daughter while her husband stays home to help with their child. The funds raised will help ease the financial burden as she takes time off to assist her stepmother and navigate through this difficult period.
As of now, the fundraiser has collected $295 out of a $5,000 goal, with five generous donations from members of the community, including contributions from Becca McCorcle, Marjorie Oberkrom, Kali Klein, Abigail Oberkrom, and Rebecca Wilson.
Our deepest condolences go out to Joseph Curtis’s family. May they find comfort and peace in this time of sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carrie and her family as they cope with this tremendous loss.
