Joseph C Rhyans, Spring, TX—Joseph C Rhyans, affectionately known as Joe, passed away following a major heart attack on August 16th, leaving the Spring community heartbroken. A devoted father, husband, and coach, Joe’s absence is deeply felt by his wife and three young sons.
Joe was not just a family man but a pillar of the community. His love for cooking, particularly Cajun cuisine, was well-known among friends and neighbors, and he often shared his culinary talents with those around him. His commitment to his community extended beyond his kitchen as he coached his son’s little league football team, the Eagles, where he not only taught them the game but also imparted essential life skills.
As a member of Omega Phi Psi fraternity, Joe embodied the values of education and mentorship, which he demonstrated through his role as a coach and a friend to many. His sudden passing has left a significant void, and the community is rallying to support his family during this difficult time.
A fundraiser organized by Mishelle Hylton has been set up to help Joe’s family with expenses. Out of the $30,000 goal, $3,095 has been raised so far through 24 generous donations. The first donation was made by Amanda Evans, contributing $500, with Michael Snow making the most recent donation of $100. The top donation also came from Jonathan Poche, who gave $500.
On Facebook, many have expressed their grief and shared memories of Joe. Tiana McBurnie-Correa wrote, "I’m really at a loss for words. Joe Rhyans will truly be missed. Praying hard for his wife and 3 beautiful boys."
The outpouring of love and support is a testament to the impact Joe had on everyone around him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and mentorship will continue to inspire those who knew him.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Joseph C Rhyans’ passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
