Johnson Chan, Seattle, WA—Johnson Chan, affectionately known as Mr. Chan or simply Chan to his friends and clients, passed away on July 29, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Known for his resilience, Johnson continued to live his life fully, cherishing moments with family and friends, tending his garden, styling hair for clients, and golfing whenever possible.
Johnson deeply valued education, believing it was the key to a brighter future. He dreamed of seeing all his children attend college. In honor of his legacy, a fundraiser has been organized by Jen Chan to support Gavin’s (16) college savings. The fundraiser has garnered $3,771 of its $5,000 goal, with contributions from 19 donors. Among these, Jacky Fu has been notably generous, donating $1,000 twice, marking both the top and first donations.
The outpouring of support from the community is evident through touching donations, such as the recent $100 contribution from Lee See Loh. The collective efforts aim to honor Johnson’s memory by ensuring his son Gavin can pursue the educational opportunities Johnson so valued.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Johnson Chan’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
