Johnny Huero Lara, Norwalk, CA— Johnny Huero Lara passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of December 26th, 2024, leaving his family and community in mourning. Johnny, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, son, and uncle, was known for his joyful, loving, and playful nature, touching the hearts of everyone he met.
Just the day before, on Christmas Day, Johnny spent a warm evening with his sister, Debbie, and brother-in-law, Ed, sharing a wonderful dinner. Though he had been struggling with his breathing due to his ongoing battle with COPD, he remained in good spirits, smiling and enjoying his time with family.
Johnny’s passing comes after a period of grieving the loss of his mother, Katie Lara, in 2020. It brings some comfort to his loved ones knowing that Johnny is now at peace, reunited with her.
A memorial fund has been created by Alexis Lucero to assist with funeral expenses. The fund has already raised $150, with generous contributions from Bobbie Garcia, Josh Teague, and Payton Leesha. The Lara family is deeply appreciative of the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
We are saddened by the loss of Johnny Huero Lara and extend our deepest sympathies to his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
