Tampa, FL—The Tampa community is mourning the unexpected loss of Johnathan Lopez, who passed away on Christmas Day in the home he shared with his family. His passing has left his wife, Jessica Colon, and their children, Magdiel Roche and Jeslie Roche, deeply heartbroken. Johnathan was not only a devoted father figure to Magdiel and Jeslie but also a constant source of love and support in their lives.
Magdiel, a Varsity football player at SLAM Tampa, and Jeslie, a senior and cheerleader at the same school, are both exemplary students and leaders in their community. Their mother, Jessica, is well known for her generosity and selflessness, always extending a helping hand to those in need.
A GoFundMe fundraiser organized by Erica Mclaughlin-Reyes has been set up to support Jessica and her family during this challenging time. The funds will help cover funeral costs, living expenses, and other related needs, as the family navigates this profound loss. So far, $115 has been raised through the generosity of donors, including Alison Marini ($25), Margarita Colon ($20), Lori Gordon ($50), and James McLaughlin ($20).
Jessica has expressed her gratitude to the community for their prayers and kindness during this painful time. The support will enable her to focus on healing and being there for her children.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Lopez family and pray that they find strength and solace. Our thoughts are with Jessica, Magdiel, Jeslie, and their extended family as they cope with this immense loss.
