John Wesley Howard, Springfield, IL— John Wesley Howard passed away unexpectedly this morning, leaving the community in shock and mourning. Johnny, as he was fondly known, was seen in the emergency room just the night before but was sent home. His family was devastated to find that he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Johnny’s sudden passing has been especially hard for his loved ones, as he did not have insurance to cover funeral expenses. His family is now facing the emotional and financial challenge of ensuring that Johnny is given a proper farewell. To assist with funeral and cremation costs, a fundraiser has been set up by Crystal Micheletta, with generous donations already coming in from community members.

As of now, the fundraiser has raised $350 through four donations, including contributions from Cathie Paisley, Kimberli Wheeler, Timothy Hildebrand, and Jennifer Perkinson. The funds will go directly to the Ellenger Kunz & Park Funeral Home in Springfield, where Michael Gay is overseeing the donations to make sure Johnny’s final arrangements are taken care of.
