John Pippin, Bixby, OK—The family of John Pippin is in the midst of a profoundly challenging time as they prepare for his final journey. John has been in a long-term care facility for the past eight weeks after a series of severe health complications. He initially collapsed at home, suffering from rhabdomyolysis and severe dehydration, which led to a hospitalization followed by a stay in a rehab facility. Sadly, during his time in rehab, John fell and broke his leg, necessitating further surgery and a return to the hospital.
Due to his deteriorating health, his family made the heart-wrenching decision to place him in hospice care, where his pain could be better managed. The prognosis given to the family is that John has one to three weeks left to live.
John’s daughter, Candace Lara, and his son, Michael, have organized a fundraiser to cover the expenses for John’s cremation, which is his final wish. As of today, the family has raised $875 of their $1,500 goal, thanks to the generosity of 14 donors. The largest donation was $200, contributed by Janet Underwood, who also made the first donation. The most recent donation of $150 was given by Missi McClung.
Candace and Michael are deeply grateful for any support, whether through donations or by sharing their fundraiser. They hope to honor their father’s last wish with the dignity he deserves.
Our thoughts and prayers are with John Pippin and his family during this difficult time.
