He is also survived by his parents, Roy and Candy Simms, and Steven Joe McCurdy, his sister Holly Yzquierdo, and numerous half-siblings and step-siblings. Joe’s grandparents preceded him in death, along with other close family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the VFW Post in Henrietta, TX, to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations are being collected to support Cassidy and Brendle during this difficult time. Holly Yzquierdo has organized a fundraiser to help the family with expenses, and the community has already begun showing their support.
