Jie Meng, Baldwin Park, CA— Jie Meng passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, after suffering a massive stroke. His sudden departure has left his family and the community in deep sorrow.

Jie Meng, known for his quiet strength, kindness, and dedication, was a devoted husband to Yaning Liu. Together for 27 years, they had built a life full of love and shared ambitions. Jie was not only the emotional support for his wife but also her financial backbone, helping her pursue a career in non-profit media work.

Born in 1970 in China, Jie overcame significant hardships to achieve success. He excelled academically and went on to study Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University in the United States. A humble and private person, Jie always sought to help others, volunteering his time to support his community, especially those in need, such as elderly immigrants who required transportation. His generosity and humor touched the lives of many.

In memory of Jie, his wife Yaning has set up a fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses. As of December 13th, $2,925 has been raised through the kindness of friends, family, and colleagues.

Jie’s funeral will take place outdoors at Rose Hills Cemetery on December 23rd, where his loved ones are invited to pay their respects. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
