Jesse Alan Quintana, a beloved teacher and devoted father, passed away on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024. He died after suffering a massive heart attack following a fulfilling day spent with his students, doing what he loved most. Jesse had been battling numerous health challenges, including kidney rejection after a transplant that lasted over eight years, as well as a stroke and a previous cardiac episode in the past 18 months. Despite these setbacks, he continued to show unwavering dedication to his students, colleagues, and most importantly, his two daughters, Brooke and Lexi.
Jesse’s resilience and commitment to his responsibilities as both a teacher and a parent never wavered, even as he faced ongoing medical struggles. His passing has left his family, friends, and the community grieving deeply. Due to the significant financial strain from his medical condition, Jesse was unable to save much, leaving his daughters to navigate not only the emotional loss but also the financial burden.
A fundraiser, organized by Catherine Fish Wilcox, has been established to help alleviate some of the financial stress for Brooke and Lexi, aiming to cover end-of-life services for Jesse and provide his daughters with a bit of support as they move forward without him. The community has already begun to show their generosity, with donations from Kirby Lindsay ($100), Lisa Killen ($25), and others.
Jesse Quintana’s impact as a teacher and father will continue to be remembered, and the love and dedication he brought to his work and his family will be his lasting legacy.
Our deepest condolences go out to Jesse’s daughters and his loved ones. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
