Jerri Leanne Glass, Coweta, OK— Jerri "LeAnne" Glass tragically passed away on December 6, 2024, in a devastating accident that has left her family and community in shock. LeAnne was en route to her partner John Gilmore’s home when a wrong-way driver collided head-on with her vehicle, taking her life instantly.
LeAnne and John had shared a deep connection, beginning as co-workers at OTL-UPT in 2010 and growing into life companions. They bonded over their shared passion for the oil and gas transportation industry, and LeAnne’s love for OU Football and 80’s hair band concerts. Despite not having children of her own, LeAnne remained youthful at heart, spreading joy and enthusiasm to everyone around her.
This tragic event marks an unimaginable second loss for John, as 23 years ago, on July 25, 2001, he lost his first wife, Jennifer Lynn Gilmore, to a similar wrong-way collision, along with their unborn twins. John’s ongoing health issues and recent inability to work have made this loss even more overwhelming, leaving the family unprepared for the financial strain.
A fundraiser organized by Brooke Gilmore, John’s daughter, aims to help cover the funeral expenses, as well as the ongoing bills that threaten John’s property and livelihood. With a goal of $10,000, the campaign seeks support from the community during this incredibly difficult time.
The outpouring of support for John and his family has been heartwarming, and they are grateful for every donation and message of sympathy. LeAnne’s vibrant spirit and love for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with John, Brooke, and their family as they navigate this devastating loss.
