Jennifer Koue, Silver Spring, MD—Jennifer Koue tragically passed away on the morning of November 12, 2024, following a car accident. Jennifer, known for her radiant warmth, kindness, and dedication, was deeply involved in the midwifery community and had been studying to become a midwife. She touched many lives through her work as a doula, especially with the families she supported in bringing new life into the world.
Jennifer’s loss has left a profound void in her community. Deanna Kopf, a colleague, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook: "Jenn was a student at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and began working with us at Birthwise Midwifery in January of this year. She was a dedicated student who was such a shining light in our practice." Holly Greenstreet, another member of the community, expressed, "She was a big part of my birth and postpartum care. This breaks my heart."
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up by Isabelle Leon to help with funeral expenses and to honor Jennifer’s memory. To date, the campaign has raised $2,305 from 18 donations. The funds will help celebrate Jennifer’s life, which was filled with compassion and love.
