Jeffery Lopinski, Madison Heights, MI—It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Jeffery Lopinski mourn his unexpected passing on September 1st, 2024. Jeffery, known affectionately as "Jeff," was a beloved son and the eldest sibling to his two sisters and brother.
A man of many passions, Jeff had a love for reading, engaging in political discussions, and spending time with his family around the dinner table. His interest in sports began early, taking root in 10th grade when he served as a coach’s assistant for little league baseball. Jeff was an avid fan of golf, bowling, and particularly the Detroit Lions. His involvement in sports extended beyond just playing—he worked as a hockey arena scorekeeper, a softball umpire, and spent years with his best friend Mike D. at Senior Softball USA. He also cherished time dog sitting for Mike’s dog, Hailey.
Jeff was a daily bicycle rider, known for commuting all around his area, and was an active member of his community. He served as the Co-chair of voter elections in Madison Heights, contributing to the civic life of his home city.
A fundraiser organized by Tyler King has been created to help cover Jeff’s service arrangements. As of now, no donations have been made, and the goal is set at $2,000. The family is awaiting final details for the service arrangements.
Jeff’s absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him. He will forever be missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly.
We send our deepest condolences to Jeffery Lopinski’s family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
