Liz Follis, who organized a fundraiser in Jeffery’s memory, is aiming to raise funds for a celebration of life that will coincide with what would have been Jeffery’s 58th birthday on October 29, 2024. The fundraiser, titled "Honoring Jeffery Follis with Music and Nature," seeks to ensure that Jeff’s passion for music continues to live on. His family plans to create personalized vinyl records, pressed with his ashes and some of his favorite songs, to be cherished by his loved ones.
Music was at the heart of Jeffery’s life. He played bass, guitar, drums, and sang, always using music to connect with the people he cared about. His family hopes to keep his memory alive through this tribute, allowing his spirit to "sing on for years."
Additionally, Jeffery had a deep connection to nature and enjoyed the minimalistic survivalist lifestyle. His family plans to honor this by taking him back to California, where they will establish a special camping site for his grandchildren, Marley and Jameson, and other family members to visit in his memory. Marley, fondly nicknamed "Bop Bop," shared an especially close bond with Jeff, while Jameson will grow up with treasured memories and photos of him.
The fundraiser has already seen generous support, with contributions from Shannon Lind ($50), Steveo Spirals ($25), and Michelle Taress ($50). These donations will go toward the celebration of life and other memorial plans.
