Jayjay Majadillas, Hamilton, ON— On Monday, December 23, 2024, the world lost a bright and promising young life. Jayjay Majadillas, aged 24, passed away unexpectedly after what was supposed to be a routine wisdom tooth procedure. Unbeknownst to him and his doctors, Jayjay’s undiagnosed diabetes led to complications that tragically took his life.
The procedure triggered a diabetic coma, and despite heroic efforts to revive him three times, the damage to his heart was too severe. His family, heartbroken and devastated, made the heart-wrenching decision to let him rest in peace. The news of his passing came just days before the holiday season, deepening the grief of his loved ones.
Jayjay was known for his kind nature, intelligence, and social spirit. He had big dreams and was working towards studying abroad in America to create a better future for his family. His untimely passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.
His father, Pastor Joseph Majadillas, who is serving as a volunteer pastor in Canada, received the tragic news over the phone and now faces the difficult journey of returning home to the Philippines to say his final goodbye.
A fundraiser has been set up by Olivene Villapando to assist with the funeral expenses and help Jayjay’s father return home to be with the family. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from the community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Majadillas family during this heartbreaking time.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jayjay Majadillas. May he rest in peace.
