James Ray Wicks, Whitefish, MT— It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Ray Wicks, affectionately known as Jim, Wicks, Jimmy, or Jimothy, who left us unexpectedly on December 12, 2024, at the age of 71. Known for his vibrant personality and youthful energy, Jim was considered by many to be a "robust 55" despite his age. He was a deeply supportive partner, loving father, playful grandfather, and a loyal, generous friend.
Jim’s partner, Jeneane, children, grandchildren, and all who knew him are heartbroken by this sudden loss. His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of many, especially for Jeneane, who now faces the daunting task of managing funeral and memorial costs, as well as the ongoing financial responsibilities of their shared home in Whitefish, Montana.
The couple had dreamed of their life in Montana, and it was Jim’s wish for Jeneane to be able to remain in their home, a place filled with cherished memories. In lieu of flowers or other gestures, a fundraiser has been organized to help ease the financial burden Jeneane now faces during this incredibly challenging time.
The generosity of friends, family, and the community has already provided some relief, with over $6,730 raised through 30 donations. These funds will go toward covering immediate expenses and helping Jeneane carry on Jim’s legacy.
Please keep Jeneane, Jim’s children, grandchildren, and all their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this difficult period.
We extend our deepest condolences to Jim’s family and friends. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
