James Hood, Boise, ID—The Boise community is mourning the loss of James Hood, a devoted husband, father, and friend who passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2024, at the age of 52. James was known for his hard work, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
James spent his life working in construction, a career that reflected his gritty determination and strong work ethic. He was a man who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, approaching every task with dedication and strength. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and his commitment to those he cared about was unshakeable.
Known for his fun-loving nature and love of the outdoors, James brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was a straight-talker, never hesitating to express his thoughts and feelings honestly. His compassion extended beyond people; he had a special bond with animals, treating them with the same kindness and love he showed his family and friends.
James’s legacy is one of hard work, loyalty, and deep compassion. He leaves behind his loving wife Jennifer, daughter Jordan, stepson J.W., stepdaughter, and grandchildren. His siblings Rebecca, Scott (Christina), and Terry, along with his nephews, also mourn his loss. James was preceded in death by his father Jimmy, his mother and stepfather Angela and Rick, and his grandparents.
To help James’s family during this difficult time, Nicole Ouellette has organized a fundraiser. So far, $170 has been raised out of the $13,000 goal to cover the costs of his cremation, a celebration of life ceremony, and to help relieve some of the financial stress on his family.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of James Hood. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. May James rest in peace, knowing he was loved by so many, and may his memory continue to bring strength and comfort to those who knew him.
