James Davis, Caruthersville, MO—James Davis has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer and Stage 4 Bone Cancer of the Spine, among other areas. As his condition progresses rapidly, the Caruthersville community faces the impending loss of a beloved member. James, affectionately known as Jamie, was unprepared for such a sudden decline, leaving his family with a heavy financial burden.
To honor Jamie’s wish to be buried beside their mother, a fundraiser has been organized by his sister, Yvonne Underwood. The goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the basic service and burial expenses. So far, $160 has been raised through the generous donations of three supporters, including Chris Phelps and two anonymous donors.
Yvonne Underwood, who initiated the fundraiser, emphasized the difficulty many families face during these challenging times and expressed gratitude for any support, whether through donations or prayers. The collected funds will be held in a secure account and used exclusively for Jamie’s funeral costs. Any remaining funds will be donated to the American Cancer Society to aid other families in similar situations.
The Caruthersville community has shown tremendous support, coming together to help fulfill Jamie’s final wishes and ease the financial strain on his family. The outpouring of love and generosity reflects the deep bond shared by those who knew Jamie.
We are deeply saddened by the news of James Davis’s critical condition. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time.
