Jake Damm, a resident of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away earlier this week, leaving behind his wife Michelle and their 18-month-old daughter, Katara. The unexpected loss has profoundly affected his family and the local community, who are rallying to support Michelle and Katara during this challenging time.
To help ease the financial burden, Anna Thoftne has organized a fundraiser on behalf of Michelle and Katara. The fundraiser aims to raise $15,000, with donations going towards essential needs such as mortgage payments, utilities, daycare, vehicle maintenance, and household expenses. So far, $1,550 has been raised through the generosity of four donors.
Community members have been quick to show their support, with significant contributions including $1,000 from Steven Kikkert and $400 from the Weiland Dairy Family. Smaller but heartfelt donations of $50 and $100 have also come in from Anna Heesen and Alesia Jelinek, respectively.
In addition to the financial support, a meal train has been set up to provide meals and gift cards to the family, alleviating some of the everyday stress Michelle and Katara are facing. Family and friends are coming together, both near and far, to offer their love and support to help the Damms through this difficult period.
The community’s outpouring of support highlights the love and compassion for Jake’s family. We extend our deepest condolences to Michelle and Katara. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this heartbreaking time.
