West Prospect Street, Washington—The community is mourning the sudden passing of Isaiah Micheal Yazzie, who tragically lost his life on August 21st, 2024, at 3:16 am. Isaiah, who was just 26 years old, was the passenger on a motorcycle when the vehicle collided with a firetruck on West Prospect Street, near Queen Anne Avenue North. The details surrounding the incident remain unclear, including why Isaiah was on the motorcycle or the identity of the driver, who is described as being in his mid-50s.
The untimely death of Isaiah has left his family in deep shock and grief. In their time of sorrow, they are asking for the community’s support to cover funeral expenses and the cost of transporting Isaiah to Fort Washakie, WY, where he will be laid to rest with his family.
A fundraiser organized by Nathanael Engavo has been set up to assist with these expenses. So far, $100 has been raised toward the $14,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of Bryan Uribe, the first donor.
