Im Pean, Greensboro, NC— Im Pean, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, has passed away after a courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer. He had been hospitalized for two weeks, with the cancer having spread to his bones and brain, making further treatment impossible. As of November 10th, 2024, at 7:00 PM, Im Pean had fallen into an unawakened state, and doctors predicted he had only 24-48 hours remaining. His family is now in the difficult position of preparing to say their final goodbyes.
Im Pean had migrated from Cambodia to the United States to give his children better opportunities. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always placing their well-being above all else. He was deeply cherished by his wife, children, and grandchildren, with whom he shared many joyful moments. One of his final wishes was to be with his wife during his last moments. His family remembers him for his infectious smile and the love he had for them, especially when his grandchildren would visit and play outside.
Jayden Pring, a family member, has set up a fundraiser to support the family during this challenging time. So far, $175 has been raised through the generosity of donors. The funds will help the family with funeral expenses and other necessary arrangements as they prepare for Im Pean’s passing.
The family is requesting prayers and support as they navigate this difficult period, hoping to honor Im Pean’s last wishes and ensure he is laid to rest with the love and respect he deserves.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Im Pean’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
