Ilia Gluzman, Davis, CA — The Davis community mourns the passing of Ilia Gluzman, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 73. Ilia was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose kindness, generosity, and selflessness touched many lives.
Ilia moved his family from the Soviet Union to the United States in 1994, and in 2001, they founded The Russian Tea House in Campbell, CA. The restaurant became a local favorite, known for its welcoming atmosphere and its Russian and Jewish cuisine. Ilia’s warmth and good-natured charm made him a pillar of the community, where he was admired for his patience and the love he extended to all.
He is survived by his wife, two children, five grandchildren, and siblings residing in Israel. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 10th, at the Davis Cemetery District and Arboretum, in accordance with Jewish tradition. The family has set up a fundraiser organized by Vladimir Gluzman to help with funeral costs and to honor Ilia’s memory through charitable donations.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gluzman family during this difficult time. May Ilia’s memory be a blessing, and may his legacy of kindness continue to inspire all who knew him.
