Hung Vu Tran, Laurel, MD— The community is mourning the loss of Hung Vu Tran, who passed away recently after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. His passing has left his family and friends deeply saddened, as they remember him for his strength and resilience during his final days.
Hung was diagnosed with stomach cancer just five weeks ago, and despite starting treatment, his health deteriorated rapidly. After experiencing difficulties with food consumption and mouth blistering due to chemotherapy, he was hospitalized. Although he initially showed signs of recovery and was preparing to return home, his condition worsened unexpectedly. His body began rejecting the treatments, and he passed away while his family hoped for better news.
In light of this sudden loss, Hung’s family is seeking financial assistance to cover the unexpected funeral costs. A fundraiser has been set up by his relative, Quy Lam, to help ease the financial burden. So far, $350 has been raised thanks to generous donations from David Deras, Edythe Cook, and an anonymous contributor.
The loss of Hung Vu Tran has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. His family has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Tran family as they navigate through this immense sorrow.
