Haley Elizabeth Michele, Anchorage, AK—The tragic passing of Haley Elizabeth Michele has left her family and the community devastated after a fire engulfed her home. Despite the heroic rescue efforts, Haley succumbed to her injuries on September 15, 2024.
The fire, which broke out on Friday, September 13th, tragically trapped Haley inside. Firefighters managed to rescue her from the flames, but by the time she was pulled out, she had already been without oxygen for more than 20 minutes. Haley was initially treated at Providence Alaska Medical Center and then life-flighted to the Harborview Burn ICU in Seattle, Washington. Despite the tireless efforts of medical professionals, Haley’s lungs and brain had suffered irreversible damage. Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully.
Haley’s family is currently in Seattle, making arrangements to honor her memory. They have expressed their deep gratitude to the firefighters and neighbors who risked their lives in an effort to save her and for the organ donations that will help others in need.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up by Reanna Weatherford to support Haley’s family, who not only lost their beloved daughter but also their home and all of their belongings in the fire.
