Hailey Gutierrez, North Las Vegas, NV—The community is mourning the loss of Hailey Gutierrez, who passed away after a courageous seven-month battle with Aplastic Anemia. Hailey was just 19 years old, and her passing has left her family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken.
Hailey’s fight began on March 1st when a persistent nosebleed led to the discovery of her rare autoimmune disease. Aplastic Anemia, a condition that affects only two in a million people in the U.S. annually, took Hailey through months of intense treatments, including blood transfusions and bone marrow transplants. Despite the unwavering support of her family and friends, Hailey passed away on October 8, 2024, in her father’s arms at the hospital.
To honor her memory and give her the funeral service she deserves, a fundraiser has been organized by family friend Brandon Grill. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $9,750, with Hailey’s father planning to donate $1,000 toward medical research for Aplastic Anemia in hopes of helping future patients.
The community has already begun showing their support. Early donations include $250 from Britney Gaitan, $100 from BreAnn Ford, and $50 from Nina Garcia. Hailey’s lighthearted nature, positivity, and love for life will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Hailey is survived by her father Kevin, stepmom Karli, brother Kevin Jr., and her extended family. The love they shared for her will continue to keep her memory alive.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Gutierrez family. May Hailey rest in peace, and may her family find comfort during this difficult time.
