Glenn Grant, Edmonton, AB— Glenn Grant, a passionate music promoter and loving husband, passed away after a brave battle with ALS. He was 60 years old. Glenn’s journey with ALS began 27 months ago, a diagnosis that followed a misdiagnosis as a stroke. Despite the devastating news, Glenn and his wife, Willy, faced the challenge with strength, courage, and unwavering love for one another. Glenn’s final day is expected to be on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Throughout his battle with ALS, Glenn remained positive and determined to live life to the fullest. He created memories by ticking off items on his ALS Bucket List, including enjoying meals at local Edmonton restaurants, attending concerts, and even watching his beloved Montreal Canadiens play one last time. His resilience touched everyone who knew him.
A fundraiser has been established by Tammy Vineberg to help cover Glenn’s funeral expenses, as well as outstanding medical and home renovation costs incurred during his battle with ALS. The community has rallied behind the Grant family, with $930 raised so far, thanks to generous donations. Contributions are still being accepted, as the Grants are facing over $100,000 in expenses.
Among the many who have shared their thoughts are Jason E. Woods, who described the Grants as close friends, and Cheryl Dumont, who reflected on Glenn’s impact and the heartbreaking reality of ALS. Other supporters, like Elma Ong and Karren Britten, also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to help in this time of loss.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Willy Grant and all who knew Glenn. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
