Giorgio Arrabito Kirylo, San Diego, CA— Giorgio Arrabito Kirylo passed away suddenly on July 18, 2024, at the young age of 38. Born on June 28, 1986, in New Jersey, Giorgio’s life was a testament to dedication, compassion, and selfless service.

After witnessing the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Giorgio felt a strong call to serve his country. He joined the United States Marine Corps and became part of the elite Special Operations Marine Raiders. Over the course of his military career, he completed six deployments, participating in some of the fiercest battles in Sangin, Afghanistan, and Mosul, Iraq. Giorgio’s bravery and dedication earned him numerous decorations, and he honorably retired in 2021.

Giorgio’s commitment to service extended beyond the military. He was a staunch advocate for veterans, actively working to build a foundation to support those suffering from mental health issues. In his final years, Giorgio found renewed faith, becoming a practicing Catholic and actively participating in his church communities in San Diego and Tulsa, Oklahoma. His dedication to God and his unwavering moral compass were evident in his actions and interactions.

Giorgio’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of many. His life will be celebrated in mid-August in San Diego, with a burial ceremony to follow at Arlington National Cemetery, where he will join his father and grandfather.

A fundraiser has been organized by his loved one, Alexandra Kirylo, to honor Giorgio’s memory and support his final arrangements. The goal is to raise $30,000 for his celebration of life and burial ceremony.
