In a selfless act to help his colleague, he climbed a four-meter ladder to finish a task when he accidentally touched a high voltage cable, leading to a severe explosion and subsequent fall. Despite fighting for his life in intensive care, Gildardo succumbed to his injuries on July 11, leaving behind his wife and four children aged 20, 16, 5, and 2 years old.
