Gary Rexroad, also lovingly known as "Porky Rexroad" to his friends and family, passed away on September 28th due to multiple organ failure and cardiac arrest. His sudden passing has left his loved ones mourning a loss that they weren’t fully prepared for. Gary did not have life insurance or savings, which has added a financial burden to his family during this difficult time.
Gary’s great-niece, Heather Sourlis, has started a fundraiser to honor his final wishes. According to Heather, Gary had expressed his desire to be cremated and buried next to his parents and nephew. The family is seeking donations to cover the expenses of his cremation and burial. Gary’s mother, Angie Wright, is leading the efforts to give him the proper burial he deserves.
The family is also planning a "Celebration of Life" to honor Gary’s memory. The event will be held on Saturday, October 19th, at West Acres Church of the Nazarene in Trotwood, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to come together from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to share memories and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary Rexroad’s family during this heartbreaking time. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
