Francis Mwanalushi Ngwenya, Zambia and the UK— It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Mwanalushi Ngwenya, who peacefully passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 63.
Francis was a beloved member of the Zambian community, known for his kindness and unwavering spirit. His life was one of dedication and service, and he was always there for those in need. Born in Zambia on September 13, 1960, he moved to the UK in 1983 to pursue further studies in Banking at Emely Wolf College in London, after completing his secondary school education in Zambia and working at the Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO). Throughout his life in the UK, Francis remained dedicated to his work and touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.
In order to honor Francis and give him the send-off he deserves, a fundraiser has been set up by Michael Mulunga to cover funeral and memorial expenses. The community has already rallied around, with generous donations pouring in from friends and loved ones. As of today, the campaign has raised £320, with donations from Francesca Kamara, John Moyo, Jessica Kamara, and Benny Mulenga.
Francis will forever be remembered for his contributions and the positive impact he had on those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
