Estrella Gracia, Newaygo, MI—The community is reeling from the unexpected passing of Estrella Gracia on August 15, 2024. Estrella tragically suffered a heart attack while sleeping, and despite the paramedics’ best efforts, her heart had already stopped by the time they arrived. She was stabilized at the hospital and placed on life support, but after further tests, it was revealed that she was brain dead, and her organs began to shut down.
Estrella, known for her kindness and generosity, donated any viable organs and tissue. Her selfless act is a testament to the remarkable person she was.
Her passing has left a significant void in the lives of her husband, John Richardson, and their children, who are now facing not only the emotional burden of losing a beloved wife and mother but also the financial challenges that come with it. Estrella’s husband, John, has set up a fundraiser to cover the costs of her cremation and a remembrance of life ceremony.
