Amarillo, TX— Ernest Sigrest, fondly known by many as "Pastor Tony," "Uncle Tony," and "Mr. Ernest," passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, leaving his family and friends deeply heartbroken. Known for his unwavering faith and dedication to serving the Lord, Ernest brought warmth, kindness, and guidance to everyone around him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, his four children, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, all of whom cherish the legacy he leaves behind. Remembered for his gentle spirit and constant support to others, Ernest was much more than a family man; he was a friend to all.
In honor of his memory and to cover the expenses related to his burial, memorial service, and travel for loved ones attending the service, a fundraiser has been set up by Angela Jolly and Amanda Tate. The goal is to raise $10,000, with $985 already contributed through the generosity of nine donors. Friends, family, and members of the community continue to show their support, and the Sigrest family appreciates every gesture, however small.
We send our deepest condolences and prayers to the Sigrest family in this time of loss, hoping they find solace in the legacy and love Ernest shared with so many.
