Emmet’s daughter, Annie Dillard, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of his cremation and associated funeral expenses. Despite his service to the country, Emmet did not have a burial or cremation plan, leaving his family in need of financial support to give him the farewell he deserves.
In a heartfelt post, Annie Francois shared on Facebook, "My Dad, Emmet Francois, is currently in hospice, and I’m afraid he won’t make it much longer. As we prepare for the inevitable, we are raising funds for his funeral. Emmet was a Vietnam War veteran and a devoted grandfather who didn’t have a burial/cremation plan. We need your help to cremate him and cover the associated expenses, so we can give him the farewell he deserves.
