Ashlea Stuth shared her heartfelt memories on Facebook, reflecting on the impact Eli had on her life. She recalled, "Eli Sanchez, I don’t even know where to start. I got the call from my cousin and I couldn’t believe the news. You were a friend to all. It feels like just yesterday we were all in high school again. Just a couple months ago, I ran into you at the batting cages. I saw you coaching the Prime kids and it made me happy to know that you were doing something you loved so much. My core memory was definitely when you helped coach me and your sisters Fall ball team. I can remember every word you said to me when a pop fly you hit during our warm-up for a game against Lindale hit me in my face instead of hitting my glove. 12 broken bones and a surgery later, you always felt bad as if it was your fault, but it was definitely mine. You always checked in on me after my surgery to see how I was progressing, even though you didn’t have to, but that was just the kind of person you are. Your family has always been the kindest, loving, and caring people. As I think about the memories I have with you and your family, one word comes to mind: Love. You did everything with Love, your sister did everything with Love, and your parents did everything with Love. You and your family hold a special place in my heart forever. You were always a good friend to me and I will forever try to pay it forward. Eli, what a day it will be when we all see you again! But for now, keep watching over everyone."
The community has expressed their condolences and support through touching Facebook posts. Friends and family remember Eli’s unwavering support and genuine care, which left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
