Eleanor Tookie Gallo, Sagamore, MA – Community Honors Beloved Family Matriarch

Eleanor “Tookie” Gallo passed away after a lengthy illness, leaving her family, friends, and the Sagamore community deeply saddened. Tookie was a cherished mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who always put her family and loved ones first. Her warmth, care, and selflessness touched everyone around her, and she was known for bringing joy and comfort to others.

Tookie was a well-known figure in Bourne, having worked for decades in various local restaurants, including Sagamore Inn, Gray Gables, and Anthony’s Deli. Her skills in the kitchen were celebrated, and she was admired for her passion for cooking and serving. Many residents of Bourne may recall enjoying a meal she either cooked or served, as her presence in the community’s dining scene was unforgettable.

In honor of Tookie’s life and her legacy of love and service, a fundraiser has been organized by Julie Towns to help support her family during this difficult time. The funds raised will help cover immediate expenses and ease the financial burden as the family navigates their loss. The community is encouraged to donate or share the fundraiser to show their support.

A Celebration of Life event will be held for Eleanor “Tookie” Gallo on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Aptucxet VFW Post 5988, located at 180 Shore Rd, Bourne, MA.
