Edwin "Ed" L. Corner, Grandville, MI— Edwin “Ed” L. Corner passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, leaving behind a family that cherished him deeply. Ed was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose life was defined by his kindness, hard work, and love for his family and community.
Ed was born on May 19, 1958, in Grand Rapids, MI. He spent over 40 years in his career as a grinder and owned his own company for 25 years. Throughout his life, Ed showed an unwavering dedication to both his business and his loved ones. He will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor, strong work ethic, and his devotion to those closest to him.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy; his children, Corey, Zach, and Ashley; and his five grandchildren, Madison, Makayla, Kyleigh, Abigail, and Quinn. Ed also leaves behind his siblings Susie, Janet, Mike, Jackie, and Eric, along with many other family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ed was passionate about spending time at the cottage, which he considered his “Happy Place,” and enjoyed tinkering and music in his free time. His family describes him as a loving father and “papa,” a role that brought him immense joy.
To support the Corner family during this difficult time, a fundraiser has been set up to assist with funeral expenses. As of today, $400 has been raised, with donations from individuals including Jennifer Demos, Beth Jensen, Dawn Polonowski, Anne Bigger, and Lindsay Abbott.
Visitation for Ed will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, located at 3525 Remembrance Rd. NW. A Celebration of Life will follow from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Post 179 American Legion, 2327 Wilson Ave SW in Grand Rapids, MI.
