Vallejo, CA—The Vallejo community is grieving the unexpected loss of Edward Thomas Donnelly, who passed away on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. Edward was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and son, known for his kindness, intelligence, and sense of humor. His recent retirement from his position as a senior building inspector for the city of San Francisco marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, one he was eager to enjoy. Sadly, his time was cut short, leaving his family and friends heartbroken.
Edward is survived by his two children, Ryan, his biological son, and Mimi, his adopted daughter, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Isalia. He was deeply loved by those who knew him, and his absence will be felt profoundly by his family and the community.
To honor Edward’s memory and help cover the costs of his cremation and celebration of life, a fundraiser has been organized by Mariella Morales. So far, $150 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal, thanks to a generous anonymous donor. The family is deeply grateful for the support and kindness shown during this difficult time.
The love and light that Edward brought into the lives of those around him will be remembered and cherished. His family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this painful loss.
Rest in eternal paradise, Edward. You will always be loved and remembered.
