Bethany, OK—Dylan Gregory Reimers, a cherished friend, brother, and son, passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia on October 23, 2024. Dylan was 25 years old and leaves behind a legacy of joy, resilience, and kindness that has touched countless lives in his community and beyond.
Dylan’s love for sports was evident from a young age. At three, he began playing soccer, a passion that eventually extended to baseball, basketball, football, and track. Known especially for his skill on the soccer field, he played both competitively and as part of his high school’s varsity team, where he earned All-State West recognition and was named “Man of the Year” in his senior year. His athletic journey continued at Southwest Christian University, where he contributed to his team’s victory at the NCCAA National Championship.
Dylan’s academic journey saw him earn an Associate Degree in Science-Enterprise Development from Oklahoma State University and continue studying Management Information Systems at the University of Central Oklahoma. He was a valued fleet account representative at MHC Kenworth, where his coworkers admired his work ethic and positivity.
Beyond his professional and athletic achievements, Dylan was beloved for his vibrant personality. Friends and family remember his quick wit, contagious smile, and the joy he brought to gatherings. He spent his leisure time fishing, gaming, exploring the outdoors, and line dancing. Dylan’s warmth and thoughtfulness earned him a place in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is deeply missed by his parents, Gregory and Amanda Reimers; his brother, Hunter; his sister, Avery; and his grandparents, Kelly and Debbie Johnson, Rick and Sue Dearinger, and Shirley Reimers. His memory is also cherished by his great-grandmother, Aloma Gene Ford, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Dylan was preceded in death by his aunt Stacey Cole and grandfather Jerry Reimers, both of whom held special places in his life.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Together We Church in Yukon, OK, at 4:00 PM, with burial to follow at Yukon Cemetery. In Dylan’s honor, a fundraiser organized by Tyler King seeks to support his loved ones during this difficult time. Contributions from friends, family, and the community underscore the profound impact he had on those around him.
We extend our heartfelt prayers to Dylan’s family and friends, offering comfort and peace in this time of grief.
